With each new update, and its latest attempt to soften the blow of the new licensing regime by 'giving' us plugins that most of us have either already got, or don't need, we see stronger signs of desperation that still do not recognise the basic issues many of us are unhappy about. It's way beyond pathetic, and rooted in a mentality that developed early on, when dedicated computers only running the one piece of software were the norm.Īvid needs to join the second decade of the 21st century, instead of continuing to reside in the last decade of the 20th century.Īs the company continues to flounder from one missed opportunity to another, leaving long standing bugs unfixed, while also not being able to deliver on its 'cool new features' (cloud collaboration and everywhere), we are left wondering what the future holds for Pro Tools. No you are not alone! I really need this fixed. I'm half tempted to dump the whole thing and switch to an Apollo and Logic over this. What is the point of me paying $600 a year for Avid Support when you can't even fix a simple CoreAudio driver issue? How come $5000 worth of hardware doesn't work on the latest Mac operating system with any software but Pro Tools? This is crazy to me. why would you announce support for Yosemite when your professional HD Hardware does not even support CoreAudio? I feel like I should have stayed on Mavericks. I'm a power user and I sell your stuff too. I've literally been waiting over half a year for a fix to this. I feel like this is a glaring item on the list of bugs that shouldn't take this long to address. Am I the only one waiting for a fix to the HD driver for Yosemite? No support for CoreAudio applications and Native Instruments software like Maschine won't even open with the broken driver installed.
